Biographical note of H.E. Mrs. Isabelle Picco
H.E. Mrs. Isabelle Picco was appointed by Sovereign Order on September 7, 2009, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations.
Prior to her appointment, H.E. Mrs. Picco served as Monaco's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations since 1999. She had joined the Mission at its inception in 1993 when Monaco became a Member of the United Nations and has been a member of the official delegation since then.
She began her Government career in 1990 in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Budget, in charge of legal affairs.
She received a Master Research degree in Environmental Law from the University of Paris 1 in 1987 and a Master Research degree in International Law from the University of Paris 2 in 1988, as well as a Professional Master in Law of the production and distribution of energy from the University of Paris 1 in 1989.
She is fluent in four languages : French, English, Italian and Spanish.
H.E. Mrs. Picco is a Knight in the Order of Saint-Charles.
She was born on November 8, 1962, in Monaco.
